work music today was this and this playing at the same time. Basically kitbashed jazz on the lake, about the chillest day of work I've had to date.

... also about the drowsiest, it's been a while since music actually made me sleepy-chill but that definitely managed it.

For once youtube recommendations gave me something decent. Vocaloid (?) murder party, ho!
Bad ∞ End ∞ Night
Swiftly found an english, non-vocaloid version. I prefer japanese character pics, but english voices, because japanese voices are too whiny.  :P

Let us sing, let us dance,
Merry all night long!
Just forget all you knew of
What was ‘right’ and ‘wrong.’
Let’s enjoy this day
Till we’re all insane.
Time to start this HAPPY NIGHT! :D

I found a song I heard on college radio back in the late noughts!  The trick was that I kept searching for "Every little thing she does is magic", when I should have been searching for "Hello Petunia".  memories are weird.

I've only listened to the first sentence, confirming I found it, but basically it's a very subdued rendition of ELTSDIM but with poetry thrown in.
It's very lesbian which isn't usually my thing, but there's a quiet yearning which melts my heart.  Respect.

...Okay it's a bit weirder than I remembered, and I love it.  Almost entirely as I remembered it.

Well that was interesting.
Yeah sorry - when I saw the strip I couldn't help but hear the song (but with Randall's lyrics).  It fit so well, except for one syllable I disagree with.  May be a regional accent thing.
My dad loved the original song and I did too as a teen, despite it being a sandwich of religion.  It's superficially religious, but obviously about a relationship, and perhaps it's very spiritual in its heart.

Much later edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRP8d7hhpoQ
For a modern rendition of the classic song which meets with my approval.

Exactly.  Though that wasn't all wrong - Hello Petunia is like 50% samples of that song.
Well, maybe a bit less.

Related to the Dream Thread post.  Mostly for the faceless dancers, definitely nothing else obviously more than that.
