Been getting into Radiohead’s Hail to the Thief, I like it.
I wouldn’t say it’s one of their better albums as an album — the ordering is a little strange and so the pacing and transitions are sometimes a little weird and slow, and it has a few songs that put me off — but I also think it has some of their best songs out of their entire discography.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Stupidly unspecific request - something sorrowful. Not sorrowful for self, though. Things in my music heap that are remotely close:

Umineko fan (?) song "-Umineko- Hymn -賛美歌- -English Subs-" that I now can't find. Glad I saved it. Would make it the first song that was actually deleted from Youtube after I did. EDIT: Found it with russian subs, though.
"-Ib- Ballad of the Windfish" - also can't find it!
Reading of Edgar Poe's "Raven"
Something from "The House in Fata Morgana", surely.
And so, I could not link any of the actual examples. Motherfuck.

jizue - because

Japanese prog/math rock that has some lovely piano work thrown in. It's kinda hard to describe but it feels rambly (is that even a word?), like it's running carefree trough a field or something.

Their other stuff is pretty nice too, feels jazzy at times.

trying out Godspeed You! Black Emperor for the first time, starting with Lift Yr Skinny Fists
really really enjoying it
I don’t really have much more to say because I know so little about what makes instrumental music good or bad, but they just do a really good job evoking emotion with this noisy post-rock sound, it’s really cool

Ooh yeah I need to listen to more of them.  I listen to their Anthem For No State (14 minutes) pretty often and yeah, there's such a journey of emotion in it despite being purely instrumental.

I'm rubbish at musical literacy but to me it sounds both mournful and hopeful.  Like ruin and change are inevitable, but that beauty will still exist in whatever comes next.

I am a hardcore Femtanyl fan now. Dark speedcore/hyperpop with internet/LGBT themes. Just some of their songs (warning, fucking loud):
Katamari
Murder Everyone You Know
Girl Hell 1999
Dinner!
And I'm Gone

My favorites are Girl Hell 1999 and And I'm Gone tbh.

Not as ear-shredding as Femtanyl but similar but more dreamy vibes.
