I'm pretty sure that was one of the things later games retconned out of existence, like the whole space station and jet car thing. Exodus was... some demon baby... yeah....

Not sure about this one. (But the, for obvious reasons, I never played IX...) Is it like forgetting the sandalwood box? (But hey, who needs to find a way back to Britannia?! Have you tried seeing what's beyond these walls? I've got a pick! We can start a NEW country, using these plump helmet seeds. We can break down the table for wood to make charcoal for the steel industry!)
What would Urist do in the House on Ash Tree Lane? There is almost certainly not really a Minotaur.
OK, I wanted to respond to those last points, so I might as well answer this... (And I had to look it up, too, because this seems pretty obscure...)
Urist will first become frustrated when their attempts to use the dark hallway's iciness as a refrigerator for their alcohol is met with their booze being destroyed. When they eventually hit the "nausea" stage, however, Urist will obviously assume the problem is having too much exposure to that damn Sun, and respond by excavating new ramps/stairwells through the "house" to make a suitable living cavern with the patented dwarven annihilation picks, accidentally killing "the house" and/or releasing the HFS, whatever is the result of mining out the boundaries of extraplanar spaces.
