Hugehead:
Space is big. Very big. Bigger.
Spoiler: Space is big. (click to show/hide)Spoiler: Very (click to show/hide)Spoiler: VERY big (click to show/hide)The Milky way has 400 billion stars, and there are millions of galaxies. Most of you probably already know that, but few games convey just how big space is, I don't think Noctis does it justice, and for Celestia to work for me it would need multi-gigabyte star packs, but Space Engine allows you to explore all those galaxies, all those stars, and all the planets the stars have.

Space Engine is a procedural universe simulator, made by a Russian developer. Right now it's only a simulation to explore but the dev plans to add some kind of gameplay. Right now you can fly around and look at anything from mountains on planets, to entire galaxies, to sunspots on stars, or anything in between.

Wow, I am seriously impressed. This looks amazing, downloading now.
Can't wait for gameplay, but this will probably hold me over until then.

Naxza:
Now, if only we could see user-base cataloging of the procedural universe.

Still, flying around it sounds like fun. I might download this later.

Omegastick:
Downloading. This looks cool
