Pickpocket? pocket? Game reads strings of letters in order to determine which wish is which.

As for Oracle scrolls, if you aren't looking for artifacts, try selling them.

Oh, i've always genocided all the bards. They're not bad for money early on, dropping 1k each or so.

When wishing for skills, try adding "skill" to the wish as well; like "skillpickpocket".

Ranged weapons used the "Ranged" or "Ammo" slots, not hand slots; you can't have more than one of each.

If you're using other pets, particularly melee pets or are a melee build yourself, you might want to switch to a shuriken. Otherwise a bell with a grenade should last you a long time; you might suffer a bit in terms of skill development though.

to wish for skills type 'skill<skillname>' where instead of <skillname> can be either full name of the skill or its last word. This will increase the skill by 1 point as well as train the skill's potential. When the first word is 'skill' and then something invalid - one random skill improves or you learn it if you didn't have it. Just typing 'skill' does nothing. To improve your luck, type 'skillluck'. This also works for all attributes, such as Strength or Constitution, as well as speed (note some might increase other skills with the same letters or words, i.e. Magic (attribute) and Magic Capacity (skill)). Wishing for feats via <featname> does not work and will generate something random.

So yeah. Add skill first.

So I tried to get back in, using ELM from the link Blaze posted in this post, but when I start it, it says "Error : 38" with an OK button, which, when pressed, leads to "Error : 7". Error : 7 also has an OK button which closes it and that's the end. What do?
