Yes, and it was very disorienting.  But live-in Decent-style base building would (will?) be righteous.

Some pricks at 4chan described the minecraft fans as having autism, so the term has been synonymous with Minecraft and stuff related to it by pricks.

Lol, I'd not heard that. That's pretty damn funny. :P

This is making me kind of glad I never got into the MC frenzy. If I give it a year, the whole damn genre is going to explode and maybe I can find something closer to my interests. Despite the physics, I dunno, to me there's nothing inherently interesting about messing around with blocks.

Not really the same. I get the fun of building. For a while. It's just not enough to make a full game for me.

The concept is nice, there will be air and propulsion and stuff so people who are not satisfied by MC's redstone-circuitry can make even moar stuff in this one.

I wonder how multiplayer will work... planets or blocky-structures in space?
Still too early for me to decide if it will be worth following or not.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

Interestingly enough, started working on a similar project at about the same time.
I've got less to show, and its just me coding it.

You know, just when I looked at the Terraria thread, the first idea that popped to mind was "I wish this voxelgame craze will create some sort of Sci-Fi Minecraft+SS13 merger..."

I guess wishes DO come true!
