removing material names?

Is it possible to remove the creature name from an item gained through butchering? i.e. removing "deer" from "deer bones"

the reason is im trying to make a weapon that won't have a material name in the actual name but is made from a creature material. like removing the "iron" from "iron mace". Or can that be achieved by defining a material instead of having :GET_MATERIAL_FROM_REAGENT: in a reaction?

You should be able to use the [NO_PREFIX] tag.
