I actually like that name.

Anyway, Deon, is there any indie game with sprite artwork that you haven't dipped your fingers into yet?
You know, I was thinking of asking the same thing earlier, when  I downloaded this game.

Also, to those who haven't played it yet: It is good fun. It reminds me a lot of the old top-down GTAs, if anyone here remembers those. Though, they didn't have the added bonus of breaking into people's houses to eat and drink.

Tried, spent the most time in Zombie modo.

SO MUCH CHICKEN.

Ran from all the zombies until I found a gunshop, at which point I noticed I'd amassed like eleven grand somewhere.  There hadn't been that much loot.

Eventually died because a zed came out of I don't even know where, clawed me and I couldn't kill it fast enough to not spend every turn alternating between healing and shooting it.  Kinda annoying.  Some of it's buddies were closing in, so I gambled on a hopeful blast and lost.  It was really stupid, too, I still had like 40 med medkits and 20 antivenoms.

Okay, I'm making a tileset for it finally.

It's mainly based on the "Deonapocalypse" tileset with many additions (because there are much more objects in this game, than in Rogue Survivor).

The main problem now: the engine stretches/shrinks tiles, so it makes some tiles to look a bit strange, but I am sure SerialKicked will fix it :).

Probably will never be used. I'll go with the current style, it was just a quick practice... I didn't decide which style do I want to make characters in.

Here's a "proper-styled" police enforcer. Btw included in the game already, so I hope SK will accept more sprites as I make them :).

Once we get more modding, I will mod the game to death :P. I already have Half-Life2 sprites to make a Half Life total conversion, with headcrabs and stuff :P.

What do you think looks better? This one is harder and longer to make, but it's a god damn fun business :P.

Tile stretching kinda kills it here: the guy on the bottow right (a factory worker) is supposed to wear sunglasses, and the cop's cap is strangely deformed. But once SK fixes the zooming, it should go away...


Also should I maybe start a separate topic on mods later? I've got a bunch already (mostly gangs, like alien xenomorphs in an "infested building" HQ, or Ghost Busters which are just for fun).

Once Steam allows Webmoney payment and I buy it, sure :P.

Right now I still wait for it to be re-activated.

I've discovered a few bugs while modding and sent them to SK on his blog. Let's hope he cooperates, maybe he will even consider some suggestions? I am SO modding this game to death :P.

P.S. I've made about 40-50% of all character sprites now. Also, marketplaces from my previous upload DO work, just found one.

Could you choose to have an @ represent your character instead of some angry midget with a mohawk? It would be more immersive to be walking around as an @ with everything else being tiles.
