How come some people report getting usable goblin bones??

They might've altered the raws of dwarves to make using the remains of sapients to acceptable rather than unthinkable.

Severed body parts from sentients can and will be used for bones when they rot down to the bone. So, if you're wanting to make lots of *goblin bone bolts*, send out the axedwarves. (See also: +troll ivory crafts+)

Or dropping the living creatures 12+ Z-levels so their bodies explode.

I discovered an use for my "panda man corpses"!!!  :o


I added a "tame a small animal" task at my Kennel and my animal trainer grabbed an "animal trap" with a "live animal" inside, and grabbed the "panda man corpse", both are in the kennel being "TSK", didn't know that you need corpses to tame vermin???  ???
