I don't think anyone really looks forward to those parts. It did get old pretty fast. Luckily killing the eater was pretty easy if I recall and he dropped a mess of demonite to quickly get up into the demon gear with, the hardmode metal mining is just a pain no matter how you go about it.

Ohh you would be surprised. A lot of people consider the "endless digging for materials" to be the best part of Terraria... even in this very message board.

Also to my knowledge they removed that method of quickly getting demonite gear.

I'm going to say I enjoy it, just to spite Neonivek.

Actually been playing the dark souls mod a bit over the last few days. Especially with the story(ish) map, it's... kinda' interesting.

On a side note, Terraria for Android is out, and it's... surprisingly playable. I quite like it, actually.

So I tested out multiplayer with Sirus last night. We fought the Eye of Cthulu and went to the Corruption to smash Shadow Orbs. I got to say that Terraria is a lot more fun with someone else to play with so if you guys want to do multiplayer add me on Steam and drop me a line when you're interested. I can host.
