I am surprised.  This...program has a UI denser and less user friendly than Aurora does.
How is that even possible without the universe imploding?
...I wanted to make that comment! T_T

Hey, Aurora isn't that complex. Took me about 2 months to get DF, and 1 day for Aurora.

Uh, yes it is.  It took me half an hour to find any graphical elements to the game that weren't menus.

DF is a game you start playing and get confused by the controls and visuals. Aurora is a game you start playing and spend eight hours doing things that should have, in all fairness, taken thirty minutes.

I mean, I can design a three-deck Heavy Cruiser in Remember Tomorrow - a game that thinks "ship design" and "tetris" are two things that mesh well together - in less time than it takes me to design a basic scout ship from scratch in Aurora.

This doesn't look that Obtuse, certainly not to be called worse than Aurora. At least the UI fits on the screen mainly.

It isn't that hard to grasp at all. The main problem is that there is really not much to do. The settlements seem to prosper without your input.
