Vision?

So in the process of fighting an elven army, my adventurer passed out after being swarmed by 20 elves.  The outcome was the realization that leather and metal armor makes you virtually immune to elves, because I passed out multiple times while being beaten on by numerous elves and the only lasting injuries my adventurer sustained were 2 broken fingers, and an eye that is scarred over and listed in blue lettering.

How does only having one functional eye impact you?  I have looked at the wiki, and it really only provides information about what happens if you lose both eyes.  Is my chance to hit impacted?  Or is it just a cool scar and an excuse "raid" villages like a pirate would?
