Nice! I started playing during early GenII, and never really got into any of the later ones. This Nuzlocke Challenge is also new to me, but it seems to bring hardcore into the games.

this is funny.
considering i ONLY played the FIRST (blue and red guys? blue and red ç_ç)
it was...so...so beautiful, and now...
now i can't even seem to remember what the hell this new ones are.
i mean, metapod? caterpie? pikachu? the team rocket of the beginning with their own pokemons...Seviper, Koffing?
now...shame on the new pokemon.
Shame.

Oh he's overseas! Unova is an entire continent away from the older regions since it represents America so there aren't any of the older pokemon in it. Hence the reson why there are so many pokemon in this game that seem unusually similar to the ones from Red and Blue/Green, it's because it is essentially an different ecosystem and as a result has the niches from the older games filled up with similar pokemon.

...but you can go back to the old one, i mean...right? at least in the other ones...like...fire red and green leaf, was it? you had the old ones+the new ones...
so...how many pokemons are there now?...

The ones from the old game start popping up after you get the national pokedex. Presumably completing it results in a flood of invasive species or something. As for your other question there are now 649

as in my last post I would like to correct you on that as there are currently 649. 493 is last generations number.

And while personally I find nothing wrong with the new pokemon, if there is anything to blame I would like to say that the theory I would most prefer is that it is the result of some of the competitive players inbred puppyfarms releasing all the pokemon that don't have the natures they want.

Edit!: Bluh I accidentally put a 4 in front of the 6. Now that would be weird

Alternatively, it's going to be some incredibly lame neo-caterpie bug type evolution. 649 currently? 650-658 are the starter group, then let's say 59 and 60 are a neo-pidgey and evolution, 61 and 62 will be in the "Annoying pointless vermin normal type" sector, then we give 663, 664, 665, 666, 667, 668, and perhaps 669 to some arbitrarily complicated bug-type evolution web.
