Relative wiki links
« on: June 02, 2011, 11:26:44 pm »

Lets say I have pages named "FOO", "FOO/A" and "FOO/B".  In page "FOO" I can use [[/A] to link to "FOO/A", instead of having to use the full [[FOO/A]], rather like a relative link with in HTML.  Can the same sort of thing be done "upwards" and "sideways"?  That is, link from "FOO/A" to "FOO/B" without using [[FOO/B]], or link from "FOO/A" to "FOO" without using [[FOO]]?  Using [[..]] or [[../FOO]], like with HTML links, doesn't work.

Supposedly [[../]] should work: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Link#Subpage_feature

Edit: Just tried it. This works for me: [[../|Up a level]]

Huh, I could have sworn it wasn't working.

Thanks.

You might have tried [[..]] which I think doesn't work.
