Witnessing death and unhappiness from it
« on: June 05, 2011, 08:01:56 am »

I want to murder the swath of useless migrants that pile into my fortress and keep only the creme de la creme.  Will killing dwarves by dropping them in pools of magma far from preying eyes invoke bad thoughts or unhappiness in any way and would I need a memorial slab for every dwarf dispatched in this manner?  :/

Yep, you'll need a slab for everyone, unless you're welcoming ghosts. As for unhappy thoughts, possibly with the other migrants, but not from the ones you already have, as long as they've been kept separated.
