Four Rooms, One TV Mafia
PrefaceThis game is played almost entirely in Quicktopic, 3/4 of it to be exact. The general concept is that all the players are thrown into various rooms and are restrained from talking to players that are not in the room they are in. The entire crux of playing town successfully will be trying to deal with a constant denial of information, and the crux to playing scum is to play upon that advantage like violinists on a violin. Roles are given out by the traditional F11 distributions, with 8 extra town and one goon tacked on to balance the advantage scum has. It... It would be best to read all the rules.
Standard Rules:
1. All votes must be in
red. Unvoting before voting again is not required, but appreciated. You may vote for No Lynch. In case of a tie, no one will be lynched.
3. Never edit your posts for any reason, including typos.
4. Do not PM other players. Players with private chat access will be given a topic on QuickTopic where they may post freely.
5. Never quote any PM from the mod. You may give a general summary (for example, a roleclaim), but do not quote directly.
6. Please put my name in
bold if you would like to get my attention.
7. There are no extensions or hammers.
8. Dead players may post one “bah post” in Room 1(detailed below), but it may not contain any relevant game information. After that, dead men tell no tales, so please do not post.
9. Please make an effort to post at least once daily. If you do not post for 48 hours, you will be prodded. If I don’t hear from you within 24 more hours, you will be replaced. If you think someone needs a prod, please bring it to my attention- I can’t guarantee I will notice everyone who is not posting.
10. Never underestimate your importance, never give up, and be bold.
General Rules
- Roles are distributed randomly and are weighted according to the standard F11 setup, with 8 townies and one goon added for balance.
- There are 4 rooms and 18 players (3 are scum). Players are randomly distributed into rooms at the beginning.
- Players cannot see the posts of players that are not in their rooms unless otherwise stated.
- Players are randomly redistributed into different rooms every 48 hours called "segments." There are 3 segments every day and at the end of the day the player with the most votes is lynched.
- Every two days, one room is destroyed in order of greatest number (4, then 3, then 2), Room 1 cannot be destroyed.
- Unless otherwise stated, Players are informed of what room other players are sent.
- Scum share their own room where they can talk at will, regardless of other room restrictions.
- Scum is informed where the other players will be sent at the beginning of all the segments for that day the night before, and at the beginning of D1.
- Scum can choose which room they will be sent before entering before each segment, with the exception of D1, Section 1, which is random.
- A failure to PM the mod will result in the Scum being sent to a random room.
- Players cannot see the posts that occurred in a room before they were there (Note, this does not mean that players can't revisit the posts of the rooms they were in previously.)
- Role powers and NKs at night are not restricted by room assignments.
- Unless otherwise stated, a lynch count will be posted in every room approximately every 24 hours.
Every room has it's own specialty, with a special power depending on the amount of people in a room.
Room 1, The TV room
This Room is the room in the TV! Everyone can see you, even you can see you. Seeing you. Seeing you. Seeing you.
Ok, now you have a headache. Stupid TV room.
This room is contained within our own mafia forum, Any player may view it but only players assigned to this room my post in it. (IE looking at the television in their own room.) Due to a confliction with the nature of the dark room, lynch counts and room assignments will not be posted for the first two days in this room.
SPECIAL: No special, how special!
Room 2, The Record room
The walls are covered in scribbles of the others. So creepy... yet... you must... scratch with them...
In this room, Players can see all the posts that were made in previous segments of this room.
SPECIAL: (Players<2) Oh hey, there's a remote on the TV! Who knew that this thing had different channels? (You can view others discussing in all the other rooms for this segment)
Room 3, The Echo Room
Every time someone speaks the room echoes the words over and over again, each time you speak you have to raise your voice higher and higher every time just to be heard and GODDAMMIT EVERYONE STOP TALKING, I CAN'T HEAR MYSELF THINK!
(In this room, there is a set amount of posts that can be made before the room is locked, equal to the amount of players times 15.)
SPECIAL: (Players=1) Wow it's so Quiet now now now, I can even hear the echos from the last group group group. (You can view all the past posts in this room)
Room 4, The Dark Room
This room is unbearably dark, You can't even see the board that tallies the votes! There is only the light of the television, and the shine in the greedy eyes of your new roommates
In this room, You cannot see where the other players are sent that are not in the room or who they vote.
SPECIAL: (Players<2, So very dark... (The television goes off, with absolutely no light, the players eventually go insane and kill each other/commit suicide.)
