Fleeing Bogeymanz?

Okay...my rogue Orc samurai is one badass mofo, He has killed twenty seven  bogeymen while fleeing his country, I'm currently being ambushed by bogeymen...the last three I killed where one hit decapitations.....I'm still surrounded by cackling and the other bogeys aren’t atacking..so are they fleeing? Cause I cannot find them.
-edit I found the sneaky son of a gun and killed him good.

Yeah, the low sight range is a problem when looking for them...
