It's ITEM_WEAPON_AXE_BATTLE, not ITEM_WEAPON_AXE.
Try fixing that.

Well, ITEM_WEAPON_AXE isn't a valid subtype, so it picks a random subtype.

Thanks! By the way, if you play it, could you check a few things for me?
1: Do ethy and bryl ever appear anywhere? Like on embark, from traders, or just in the ground n stuff?
2: Do the hordes ever attack you (for example, a vile force of darkness has arrived! Followed by a bunch of bunnies)

Well, i never actually used a mod before so i posted a question on how to install it into my game... but compared to the other mods ive looked at this is by far the best. and ya, ill check those things for you once i manage to install it... i think i only have to put those raws in the game somewhere but i dont know where ;-;

ok, i installed it, i replaced the raws, moved vanilla raws to another folder.
put modded raws in df_25 etc folder. genning new world. everything looks good.

started digging into the side of a mountian... no sign of anything in the mod yet :/
did i do it correctly? replace the raws in the main folder?

EDIT: i found a dwarf cap spawn bag in my wagon, so its working

Ethyl is very rare, but a possible mineral. It's kinda fitting that it's so rare, the thing is better than steel but ahs no HFS risk. Probably going to add a civ that will trade you ethyl (note: one no-quality anvil is worth 1000 o_o), and a few more minerals soon.

Anyway, what I want to know is, has anyone encountered any of the hordes?

i encounterd the greater devourers in in adventure mode.

is there a reason why the greater devourers are all wrestlers and have no armor/weapons?

EDIT: how rare is gryl inside of deadstone?

As common as microcline, I guess. Greater devourers are all wrestlers because they're all too stupid to make weapons.

well, ive dug about 6 layers of deadstone down, epanded out a bit, and havent found any gryl, but i got a request manager froma human city
