I wish DF could generate this in a map. It would be a great spot for a Fortress.

Since I don't know if Toady could pull it off, I figured its better to post this in Discussion as opposed to Suggestion.

Do it the dwarfy way: embark in a flat area/near a mountain and mine it until it's the way you want. If you do that, post screenshots for us.

Waterfall into hole via sky river is in north east section of a 3 by 3 embark.

Info: Everybody mines style starting build. The year is year 101 on a custom genned medium sized world map. Home civ has no sites on map, so migrants later than the first 2 waves may not appear. You have more than enough booze and food to reach the trade caravan with ease, and even an anvil. Not much else though. I play with the pheobus graphics pack, so there may be a raw incompatability risk...

Bonus: Site has multiple shallow and deep metals, and flux.

Bonus 2: You are at war with the elves.

That looks like the sort of thing that gets generated in Minecraft since patch 1.8

This is basically my current embark.  Weird!

If those openings on each level were filled in with floor and walled with fortifications, you'd have my dining room, barracks and hospital on levels 1, 2, and 3.  Well, I guess you'd also need to add levels 4, 5, 6, and 7... Easy wells and pleasing mist for the win!
