If you're into crime/law enforcement, then try All Points Bulletin Reloaded. It's currently in open beta, so there will be a few issues.

I can't believe terraria isn't on this list. If you liked minecraft for the adventure part of it, definitely give it a shot. (though if you preferred the building part, give it a bit more thought first- building isn't as much fun in 2d.)

Oh, actually, try Toadwater. It is a farming-ish game, and you can change the world around you. There is a thread on this forum (made by me xD) if you search for it.

Don't play APB, it's crap. Terreria is pretty bad too imo.

Terraria has helped a lot, but me and my friends explore it's updates too quick..so we'll let'em develop the game more before we go back at it.
It's been mentioned. I think Terraria has recieved enough media coverage so far that it's generally a fair assumption to say that any given person on these forums has heard of it.
