Star-Twine - The simple RTS
« on: July 03, 2011, 05:54:41 pm »

Well, I found this on reddit sometime ago and finally got it today (as part of the 5 for $5 bundle since they apparently had a surprise last minute bonus game thrown in) its $10 Canadian dollars, which is about the same in US, and about 7 euros.
Game Site

Gameplay-wise, its as simple as you could get, really. You have a randomly generated 3d map, made out of empty space and 'threads'. You are a point of greenish light, that can fly through out the entire map, but will drift towards the threads while doing so. Everything is built on the threads. The single resource in the game is energy, which is infinite as long as you have at least 1 energy node built anywhere on the map (no limts on where you can build except that buildings being too close to the enemy will not last long). You can build as many as you want of anything as long as you have the energy, but it only collects from up to 12 nodes at once (which still will get you energy reasonably fast). The rest of the building are the turret (can shoot anywhere on the map, but aims for the closest target first), the defender and the black hole (one takes the hits, the other takes the hits and also warps gravity to draw all turret shots towards it including your own), and the missile launcher (most expensive, one shot, explosive, has to charge up)

The game is focused more on placing the buildings instead of micromanagement (theres not any, unless you're trying to build a distraction base near your opponent), but its pretty fun I'd say. Theres a video on the game's site thats shows stuff about it.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
