"Still using crutches to walk, Tina Fletcher is the most recent victim of a gulf sturgeon strike while on the Suwannee River in Florida."

Urist wouldn't be so lucky

True. Urist wouldn't get crutches.

Even if he did, he still couldn't use them, due to lack of legs.

It's funny because sturgeons were about equal to carp.

Incidentally: crutches are working again.  I have a swordsdwarf walking on a crutch and fighting with a sword right now :)

Lazy bastard, he should be fighting with the crutch.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Walking on a sword and fighting with a crutch?

Oh, you meant fighting with BOTH!

I'm hoping that he hangs on to the crutch long enough to name it.  The fort has several named shields floating about which have each gotten a few kills...
