A shovel. It dugs out only soil?
« on: July 26, 2011, 06:30:52 am »

Would it be possible to make a shovel that can dig out only soil? Like, there would be a race that digs holes in the earth but they can only dig in the soil and no further. Like, perhaps changing the force or how the shovel digs or something.

No.
You'd have to make everything but soil undiggable for that.

I think the kobold camp mod did something along those lines.

There is only one type of digging implement: A digging implement. It is used for digging. There is no distinction made in the raws and thus it is impossible. However like jaxy15 said, you can make stone undiggable and you'll only be able to dig out soil and go no further.
