I never really felt the need for a gamepad on this one since you only ever have to move in cardinal directions anyway.  But the remake sounds great.

A controller, for this? Huh. I've always felt that BoI plays and controls simply enough that it'd be a perfect touch screen phone game. Maybe with the non-flash remake they'll port it.

Yes. Challenge 10 complete. EDIT: Went on to beat the final boss, too. Still have to beat the full game with 3 or 4 characters, but that should be comparatively easy. 249 hours; let's see if I can get Platinum God in under 300 total.

The Candle is the best item. Deals high damage and destroys enemy projectiles, as well as being a pretty common find.

I need to re-get everything.

Stupid computer! At least I unlocked Magdalaine, Cain and Judas really quickly. Hell, I killed Satan on my first runthrough after mom ( I got lucky)

I finally have the skill required to beat this game. I killed the final boss with a high rate of fire, the only thing protecting me being a cube of meat, and took no damage. 268 hours currently, so I may be able to complete it in less than 300. I've finished with Isaac, Cain, Judas, Eve, probably ???, and probably not Maggy and Samson. All challenges completed.

The remake, which will (hopefully) be out by the end of next year, compiles the original Binding of Isaac content, the Wrath of the Lamb expansion, some stuff that was taken out of the original game, and a whole new expansion's worth of new content. Plus, 2-player local co-op, new music from Danny B, and the aforementioned new art style. My goodness.

2 player co-op sounds sweet, as it's one of the things I originally wanted from the game. Would be nice if it was true co-op, but I'll settle for hot seating.

Now I'm not sure whether I should convince my friends to pick up BoI now so they'll be excited for the next one or if I should wait and get them hooked on the new one.

Probably best to wait on the new, I think.

Since it came in the HIB 7, my friends all started playing it anyways. Which got me started playing again, which resulted in me finally beating mom's heart the second time. Seven more to go.

Nice.  Well, I've had this game forever, and just now started REALLY playing it - my buddy just gave me nice gamepad for x-mas.  I know this was discussed earlier, but it really made the game a lot more enjoyable for me.

I haven't been able to even make it to Mom yet.  The farthest I can make it to right now is the level right before Mom.

Please tell me you were doing the 9 Lives challenge, because otherwise I'm willing to bet picking up the dead cat was your biggest mistake there.
