Fodder crops for animals.
« on: July 28, 2011, 02:27:15 am »

My farms have excess capacity, I have too much food, and it's a struggle to keep livestock rotated to keep then fed on cave moss.

However, just across the river from me is a cattle farm, where they grow grass, harvest it, and bundle it up for feeding to the cows. Why can't I grow things like that on my farm plots, or turn existing crops into fodder?
I think I should be able to. It'd give farms more purpose, and stop animals starving to death because I'm dealing with the caverns.

The *large serrated steel disk* strikes the Raven in the head, tearing apart the muscle, shattering the skull, and tearing apart the brain!
A tendon in the skull has been torn!
The Raven has been knocked unconcious!

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.

I believe there's something like this already scheduled to be developed.

Yay for Cave Turnips!

It would also be nice if we could harvest grass to make hay, especially if it was made so that grass doesn't grow as much in winter.

Iv seen people who haven't had a redheaded person in their family for quite a while, and then out of nowhere two out of three of their children have red hair.
What color was the mailman's hair?
