I just got...

"The Armored Uncertainty"

...very dwarfy indeed. It's never certain if the military will arrive at the battle or prefer to have a party. And armorerd they will be, as I just struck some lovely metal very deep down.

"The Long Guards"  Is my current fort's Fortress guard squad name.  Pretty good.

Also "The Heavenly Scales"  and "The Fangs of Gold" Which also aren't bad since my guys are dragonmen.

Probably my favorite military name has been "The Eviscerating Axes," which was, fittingly, an axedwarf squad. I gave every one of them the custom profession of "Eviscerator," save the militia commander, who was "Chief Eviscerator." They all died to a jelly-opal humanoid with deadly dust.

The Weapons of Vanquishing. The leader's name was Atish Beradtul. He had sixty-eight notable kills and a named masterwork adamantine short sword, although judging by the closeness of his name to "beard tool", I rather think it wasn't the sword that killed them.

My latest squad is the Biting Dragons. The Biting Dragons and the Passionate Swords both have very dramatic names.

Bodice appears in almost all of my squad names. "The hollow bodices" "The armored bodices"
I think the only time I have ever heard the word "Bodice" is in Dwarf Fortress.

"The Coincidental Whips", a metal armor default uniform junk squad.  the squad leader and at least three underlings picked up whips and are now master lashers.  The rest of the squad is being moved to lashers.
