It's the danger room, not the champagne room!
« on: September 14, 2011, 09:21:11 am »

There's no other way to say this: my dwarfs are stripping in the danger room. After every session they've shed a pile of clothes. Wouldn't be a big deal, except they've dropped two adamantine robes.  And no one seems to want to go in to retrieve the most expensive armor in the fortress (they're not forbidden, the door isn't locked).  So. Is there any way to keep them from stripping down? And anyway to get them to grab the robes again?

Are the dwarves who keep dropping clothing also set to be miners, woodcutters, or hunters?  Having a dwarf who has any of those jobs enabled also in the military causes problems with conflicting uniforms, causing them to drop their clothing every time they change from military to civilian mode.

Also are you sure that your military uniforms are set to wear over their civilian clothes and not replace their civilian clothes?

are the robes claimed?
could you have assigned too much upper body clothing, causing them to switch between what they're wearing

Also, you know that adamantine clothing eventually wears out, right?

Also, are the squads set to "Inactive: Uniformed" in the military schedule?  It's set to that as default, I believe, but if you change it then they will drop their uniform everytime they go inactive.

Several of them were indeed set to that.  We'll see if that helps.

You can also make sure your squad uniforms are set to "replace clothing."

it'll only work if the candy robes are part of their uniforms.

build cabinets in their rooms. Your dwarves won't gather the robes because they "belong" to members of your military, and are only accessible by those dwarves.

Best solution is to put a cabinet in every room, undump the robes if you did that, and wait some time (it takes awhile for dwarves to move their possessions)
