Well its not like we can build houses out of dirt.

Dirt is also an excellent wall making material, as if set up properly it cannot be broken down, burned, or collapse.

Well its not like we can build houses out of dirt.

Settlers in the great plains made houses out of dirt all the time.

And you know, I personally like the idea of these dirt houses (especially the one with the grassy top) better than that of assembling traditional lumber ones. It would give a nice, rural look.

We would conserve a lot of resources making dirt houses, but I think we should make houses out of planks and bricks, as that would make it more impressive looking to potential merchants or immigrants.  I think some possible inhabitants or workers might objects to houses made of dirt.

We could conserve a lot of ressources by simply making houses underground. It would leave us with more space on the surface to build. You know, a little 10m by 10m hole with a few ground-level windows, and later on we could use planks to make a proper floor.

I'm not sure about making underground houses when we're so close to a river and a moat. I'm no expert, but I'd imagine it being pretty wet down there.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Indeed it would.
However I support the idea of mud/dirt houses,
At least until better materials become more abundant and have time for building them.

We cant use the abundance of wood we have so far, nor can we use the limited supply of bricks. Dirt and sticks seem like the best option.

Hey guys, i'm ready to update but I still don't have any specific orders for me to use. I think the consensus is that:
Rex should gather more fish.
Franz should keep cutting down trees.
Chloe should keep digging the moat.

Arete, Hans, Picky, Rolf and the workers don't have anything to do and i'm not sure if you want to keep Jaian sawing logs so i need some feedback on those issues.

Promote Hans to Sheriff. Have him train on some sticks and leaves made into a basic training dummy.

If it melts and harden we can definitaly use as a kind of glue.

Hans should stab things for his thirst for  Retribution is unquenchable. Have the digger continue digging moat. have 3 of the peasants build a wall using any resources they can except the bricks and some planks which shall be used to fortify the bridge. Have the builder move the wester bridge to the north and use bricks and planks to make a bridge/gate house. have the clay workers mave some bowl/buckets/pots one molds the receptecle and the other fires it in the kiln. the fisherman should catch another fish. the last peasant should build a smoke house out of sticks clay and leaves
I'm going with this minus the retribution part.
This.

I think we should start building a wall behind our moat. That way, jumping creatures won't be a problem. Using planks and all the idlers, we should have a good bit of fortification towards bewteen us and the forest before nightfall.
