Spears aren't going to be terribly effective against something made of sticks. We need to throw rocks or use axes...

axes. or torches.
I also remember oranges slimes being flammable. Or did they simply got liquid?
Anyways, i strongly suggest to grab some torches.

I see that I forgot to complete my sentence again... :/

I was original going to suggest knock him into the water, but that would just make him wet and less flammable...

I believe they melted in the face of fire.

Have someone check if we are being attacked from the other side as well.

set another pot of oil alight, then pour it's flaming contents down the side of the wall. It should repel both orange slimes and stick-men.

The whole waste our entire stock of oil (that we can't replace) on the second fight we've had seems Hasty. Or you know wasteful and reckless. save the oil and use it to make torches in the morning. The torches should be effective for more then a single night.

Seriously though, small rocks make excellent improvised projectiles. They could puncture the orange slimes or penetrate and get stuck in the slime thus making it not float. They could knock the stickman off the slime. We have them everywhere. We could prepare a small pile of them next time and use simple slings to increase range and accuracy.

Hans: Grab a spear, set it on fire then throw it at the stick-thing with extreme prejudice!

Hans: Grab a spear, set it on fire then throw it at the stick-thing with extreme prejudice!
and to see that it maintains flaminess, dip it in oil.

The stick thing will simply fall in the water and probably float towards the wall. Waste of a spear in my opinion.

Waste of oil more like. We can replace spears.
