Just use the blue stuff as paint for now, but save some of it.

Anyone who has spare time, begin construction of a brick house, with a wooden roof. Also, Rex and the worker should smoke some of that fish.

Keep the blue liquid until the trader arrives, and ask him what it is.

As for houses, what about mud?

The design isn't important- just something that uses the same method. This way, we can conserve our bricks for fortifications.

Tear down hut and build a bigger wooden house.

I have an idea!
Have Hans make a crude stickman cap for himself and his little friend.

Ok, how about a mixture of both Mud huts and houses made from sticks and clay? We can use branches in place of sticks, and dig up the clay. Still, whatever we are doing, we need to build a house made from SOMETHING that will last for quite while.

Craft a clay shotgun that fires rocks as a trinket.

Using wattle and daub construction should help use up some of those piles of sticks. I suggest we compost the leaves for when we get agriculture going.

Sounds like a plan. And by digging up the clay, we can find worms to get compost even faster than normal. Most excellent.

Oh great, so now everyone wants brick walls?

Urgh. You guys... ::)
Yes, because now we have more time to actually make bricks rather than make a tiny stack of bricks in one area for no reason.
Would you say the same about the moat in the first day? That we should never have dug it out?

It saved time. And there was really no disadvantage. The same could be said about a brick wall.

Bricks take time to make, then more time to dry, then even more time to set and WE HAD NO MORTAR prepared to make a wall with. A stack of 75 bricks without mortar is gonna do what, really? Just let it go.

Are we arguing about if we should make a brick wall based on how much time it took to make the bricks, or how many bricks we had? Because those are two different arguments.

We had Mortar. I'm 100% sure we made some. Last morning I had Picky go searching for it. And Here is the update saying it was made.

I would've stopped if you hadn't brought it up again.
