I vote New Hope.

Have one guy Collect berries.
Have one guy Take up the shovel and start making farm land (if possible, if not then go off to dig a hole in the ground as the start of a mine.)
Have one guy Take up the pickaxe and start digging a mine (if possible, if not then get the shovel guy to do so.)
Axe guy keeps cutting wood.
Have the last guy grab the hammer and go search the plains for any food grasses.

I vote for this.

This has my full support.

That last gobbo would stand there, missing an arm, punctured in a kidney, liver, and spleen, fading in and out of consciousness at the far end of where the drawbridge would go, and his last sight would be the drawbridge dropping down and smashing him like a bug.

God DAMN I love this game!

Same here, with the exception that the mine should probably be in the hills.

The hills looks pretty tiny. They won't be very helpful, and until we get a better industry set up we will want to mine quarry style so we can actually use the stuff we mine out.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Many names are considered but only one rings with the true sound of freedom, justice and all the things the party has set out to achieve...

New Hope

After establishing that the berries are in fact safe to eat thanks to the wonderful science of taste testing the peasants split up and begin to perform their tasks:
One peasant has begun to collect the berries.
One peasant has begun to construct a mine, although it's more or less turning out to be a hole full of clay.
One peasant has started to break apart rocks for the construction of a Fire Pit.
One peasant had taken the hammer and begun the journey east to explore new and uncharted lands(also known as the plains you crossed on the way here).

The tree has been felled and the peasant begins to strip away the branches and leaves finding a bird nest in the process.

Inventory:
 1x Pile of branches
 1x Pile of leaves
 1x Bird nest(with 2 eggs)
 6x Large red berries
 4x Small red berries

Equiped items:

 1x Hatchet
 1x Pickaxe
 1x Shovel
 1x Hammer

Population:
 5 Peasants

Name the pick-wielder Picky.

*Avoids swipes*

Also, have the shoveler look for sand. If he finds sand, collect a bunch of sand and clay, in a ratio of 3 units of sand to 7 units of clay.

The berry picker shall keep picking, but avoid picking the young fruit before they are ripe.

Hammah dude shall keep going east. At a cautious rate.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.
