If the Chromies survive this, dig out some stone rocks.  Sharpen the rocks.  Use the sap from the orange blobs to fuse the sharp rocks to the wooden spears.  Voila, we have stone spears.

I think we should only name people if they do something notable. and the name should be related to that thing.'

In any case, Use the shovel to scoop the green slime into one place, then roll the log back into place.

We should test for edibility and utility. But before that, finish of the remaining slimes and get some rest.

have the four guys that had been sleeping patrol the area in two shifts of two, wielding torches made of bundles of sticks. the guys that haven't slept should sleep now. doing stuff can wait until the morning

Well, by then we could have better defenses.

Maybe a moat, then a ramp, then wooden stick wall reinforced with clay and leaves, then finally have the corners raised to shoot things over. Of course, it'll also have one end protected by the river. And have a plank of wood cut from a tree trunk large enough to get across. That should stop quite a few creatures.

Code: (What I would imagine it looking like) [Select]
M=Moat
S=Reinforced sticks.
P=Clay ramps.
D="Drawbridge" (plank which can be angled like a wall but is long enough to get across the moat, extends up to "Three tiles", AKA in actual function the length of the moat).
R=River.
.=Etc.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

The raft village idea is the one I'm supporting.

It's not a megaproject. We had two people dig the current moat out in two turns. With this many people we could do so potentially even faster. And the ramp would be easy: Just dump everything on the other side.

The stick wall and clay would be the only real challenge, but once again, two people did half of the hut defense in two turns.

Really, I would only expect it to take a day with the amount of people we have. Picky and someone else dig the trench, others make the stick wall while what's-his-name cuts down trees and knocks off branches as fast as possible.
