Clearly this journal belonged to someone who made either the slimes or the stick demon (or both) in order to protect him/herself. It also mentions an external source of something (probably whatever powers these creatures) so Rex and Hans should explore further after they have finished looking through the abandoned building

It looks like it, now that you mention it. Look at the cellar first before exploring further.

reinforce hut with planks.

Will the greater land jaian be safe from the night creatures
Place eggs near kiln so they get warm enough to hatch
can we milk the jaian? we need buckets.
Make bucket out of planks

Picky continues with his previous action.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.
