13th of Sandstone, 100:
Ah, Sandstone. The 8th month of the year, but that means that the weather grows colder. Winter is soon to come, but I expect the dwarven supply wagon to come so that we may gain some much-needed supplies. If they have nothing of interest, I shall simply request more supplies from our Liason.

As we go about our daily lives, I have designated more rooms to be dug out for our growing population. The cattle are still being moved, the fortress is still under construction, and the defensive wall is starting to take shape. Soon, I expect the court-yards to be protected, and the military to take shape.

I have designated the hospital areas to be dug out. The thread and cloth that we have brought along will be used for the hospital.

YEEEE-HAW!!!!!!!!!! It's Hi-Ho-Silver, boys!!! I decided to dump on of our Giant Beetles in our volcano, and while falling, it's found small deposits of Silver in a gigantic magma lake. AND GUESS WHAT ELSE?? Raw Adamant!!!!! It's all ripe for the diggin'!!! BUT I have heard rumors of veins of Adamant being a trap for the proud. Many a fort, I have heard, has dug to deep into a vein and released many, many Demons, and the Demons overran the halls. I have decided that we shall not dig ANY Adamant, as we have no military.

Now, once we get a squad of archers, we can explore these Caverns and search out more Adamant, and perhaps find more space and metal. I wish for us to leave this Stone Age!
