And that's game!  Please complete this quick survey (spectators as well):

1.  Did you like the robot battle mechanics?
2.  Did you like the short RTD format?
1.I think the two self-repair systems were somewhat overpowered compared to the damage that the weapons could actually do. The calculations should also list the source of the additional numbers.

2.Yes, it also makes for a good testing environment for a new system before doing something larger. If you do another one I'd be happy to play.

And I'll be there to beat you all :3

1. Seemed good, but I the calculations were pretty confusing.

2. Well, I guess it's good for testing, but the battles in this one were a bit too short. Two turns isn't really time to do anything.

Noted on suggestions, especially the roll labeling. I thought separating the roll and the action improved the look of things, but it does divorce it from matching what roll goes where.

I do think I'll make it 4-5 turns per round if I run this again.  Healing won't be as strong either... nor will you likely see someone who has +1 all defense and self-repair.

(5 turns a round and doubling the bracket to 8 players (so three rounds) would be 19 turns in the current format.  I could stick a retooling turn after the first round or something to make it an even 20.)

It'll be a bit before I do another one of these, so I doubt I'll remember any reserve list.  I'll try to save Dave a spot in any theoretical Mini RTD 2 as his prize, though.

I know it's a little late, but I loved reading this. The short format allows for a nice quick ending with possibilities for re-runs, and the combat format was very good to read.

I'll hopefully catch the next one if there is one^^
