Let's Play: The Temple of Elemental Evil
Ch.0: Reboot!

Gather round, internet, it's time to play some good old-fashioned Advanced Dungeons and Dragons! Well, sorta old-fashioned, at least. We'll be running the classic Gary Gygax adventure The Temple of Elemental Evil, recreated in computer form by Atari and Troika Games. I'll be your DM for the evening, while you all will be my puppets adventuring party!



Rules and Participation:
1. I'm just the DM here. Players will be rolling up characters for the party, and choosing the direction we move the story in.
2. When we're at a crossroad, feel free to post in-character, and figure out what you guys want to do next.
3. This is an Ironman run, meaning there will be no savescumming, and character death is permanent. Sorry in advance! :3
4. Each player gets 1 character at a time, and only 6 can fit in the party. If your character dies, feel free to add a new one to the queue.
5. This is liable to be more than a bit silly. Have fun with it!





Party Alignment, and Character Creation:
Before we can start, you guys will first need to decide on a Party Alignment, and roll up some Character Sheets. The party's alignment influences the plot, and determines the party's choices in the story. Also, each character in the party can only be 1 step removed from the Party Alignment, or they won't be allowed to join. Choose wisely, as this will affect much of the game!

As for character sheets, I'll need a name, a race, a class (or 2 if multiclassing), their skills and specialties, and your characters 2 best and 2 worst attributes (among: Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma). Give me a few personality traits, quirks, or any other descriptors you want to add too, since that lets me know how to build their skills and feats, and how you want them to be played.

Class: Rogue/Fighter
Stats: High Dex and Int, Low Cha and Wis
Skills: Quick reactions, and a decent acrobat. Specializes in traps and lock-picking. Uses light melee weapons.
Description: Cautious, self-preserving bounty-hunter. Sometimes bitter, but has a wry sense of humor.

Race: Humen
Class: Rogue
Stats: High Dex and Int, Low Wis and Str
Skills: Decent at picking locks and talking to people; can cajole and threaten with the best of them but can run away or stab someone in the ribs if that doesn't work.
Description: Long-haired and foppish gentleman who lives to adventure. Scares easily.

Question: are you using the Circle of 8 modpack? I heard Ironman mode was buggy with that. I mean, buggier than ToEE usually is.

Definitely using Circle of 8. If it's going to give me problems with Ironman, I can just enforce the Rules myself.

Description: Rugged type. Spends more time in the woods than cities.

Stats:High Char and Wis, low Str and Dex
Skills: Healing and Protecting the party, Smiting wrongdoers (to a lesser extent)
Description: Tall, with long black hair. Loves Justice. Would die to save a friend. Adventures to rid the world of the injustices plaguing it. Very protective of those she feels deserve/need it.

Race: Human
Class: Fighter
Stats: High Dex and Str, Low Cha and Int
Skills; Focus in a reach weapon (one of the non-exotic ones, don't matter too much which), and denying the enemy movement. Basically a lockdown tank. Otherwise no out-of combat utility, but hey he's a fighter. Go into Barbarian at 3rd level.

Class: Bard
Stats: High Cha and Int, low Wis and Str
Skills: Good talking skills and such, uses crossbows for weapons. Oh, and whatever magic bards get.
Description: Arrogant, selfish and shallow, believes himself to have much greater skill (and be much more famous) than he really has, though capable of smooth-talking and charming when it suits him. Younger son of a lesser noble house.

Skills: Well, punching stuff. As in punching anything the Warrior misses or gets to close to the Cleric or Bard.
Description: An easygoing young man, whose outlook on life is that: "It's pretty good, dude, just relax."
Humble, and dislikes anyone who boasts a bit too much.

My vote is for a CG party. It's nice to have options.
