Melting only gives you a fraction of your metal back D:

You've been losing adamantine.... Unless you were melting individual bolts, that's different.

I usually train my metalsmiths with blue stuff. Using Dwarven Physics you can melt all non-masterwork items back down to be re-used with no penalty.



*cancels all melt orders* AGGHHHHHHHH!!!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE???!?!!!!?!?

Side note, how much metal do I get back, If I were making mail shirts?

Between 10%-60%.

You'd get 60% back. Breastplates would get you 90%.
