Mayhap I will just create two entirely separate fortresses(or one gigantic on split in two), And just completely segregate both populations...

I'll just give the vampire fort a large pasture for big livestock that they can(hopefully)feed off of. My population will either learn to cooperate nicely with eachother, or it will be  PURGED.

I just realized something, with all the new creatures coming out in this release, it looks like we're going to be having a lot more mysteries to solve in the name of ‼SCIENCE‼, ‼PHILOSOPHY‼, ☼RESEARCH☼, and ◄DISCOVERY►(cavern mapping nearing completion, by the way). Should be fun.

I would think Drac would be rather indifferent, as he only seems to care about what goes on in his domain. As long as you're not trying to force him into servitude, you should be fine.
