Find the vampire.
Make him Baron/King whatever you can.
Give him firstborn daughter of every family. If firstborn is a son, give wife.
If your oldest vampire is a female, make Queen, then give her son (First infected male) previously mentioned privileges.

How to turn into a weapon:

Put in a deep dark pit and drop goblins, elves and other things for them.

Depending on the strength increase, turn the infected into military... the people who died during the feeding are also turned into pit-dwellers by your friendly neighbourhood necromancer.

If someone finds who the vampire is, name him Batdwarf, add him to justice, kick the vampires out of the throne-room or pit and let Batdwarf slam them with his Hammer of Justic.

Wrong:
Artifact silver crossbow.
Silver bolts.
Silver/masterwork candy sword (you know where from....)
