Traders in migrant wave
« on: April 23, 2012, 04:07:07 pm »

In my last migrant wave, a trader was included. He doesn't do anything, just hangs out at the edge of the map. In the unit list, he turns up as "Friendly".
Is there any reason he's there and won't come into my fort?

Been wondering the same thing my self. Keeps happening with every fall migrant wave. Also, I now have a specific profession called "Elf Removal Professional" in my fort. He hates those pointy eared bastards with a passion. Didn't realize he grabbed my artifact steel battleaxe....success.

Might of been a unique case with some normal traders that bugged and hung around with these fake traders, but I had one go berserk and cause a tantrum spiral. Took a couple of years though...

That should be a new type of project, making a rug design in dwarf fortress (With accurate coloring)

I believe DF Hack has a command to fix these in the latest version.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Thanks guys.
Do you happen to know what the DFhack command is? I'm still trying to figure out all the commands for it.

ls gives a list. My version doesn't have it, so it must have been added recently - or only discussed about.

The command is "tweak fixmigrant" if I remember correctly.
