Surprisingly, I've got to agree, though I'd probably palette swap it from browns and oranges to grays.

When dwarves claim clothing (that then sits in your stockpiles forever unless you give them cabinets), do they only claim a certain amount of clothes per dwarf? I wouldn't know because I have usually atomsmashed any unclaimed clothes to prevent above bug.
