Alrighty then, sweet.

Downloaded and started.

Journal of MOG

So here I am, freshly rescued from goblins. Kidnapping an old codger from Zenonkubuk, trying to discover our secrets of producing adamantine in such quantities.
Bloody idiots, its not called Viperlances for its cute bunnies.

Shut up, you.
I have a name.
And I am deliberately not using it.
Anyway, where was I?
Pointlessly writing down your aimless thoughts before you die?
Bugger off.
I'll be coming for you soooooooooooooon!
Good riddance.

What was that you might ask? Just a little holdover from the last time I killed a demon. Sometimes they stay with you. Not going to broach that keg here though.
The ale of defeat is bitter. Unlike the taste of that thing other species have...... Vic-something.

Back to my story.

Kidnapped from Viperlances, tortured by goblins. Ahem 'Rescued' by these.... kindly dwarves.

I took one look at the fortress, and my eyes almost popped out.

Chaos, Chaos and destruction!

The front of the fortress is not covered or walled off!

They have a Courtyard!

No doors restricting those of limited intelligence from rushing out to certain doom.

Its almost.......

Like they intended for enemies to get into the fortress.

But.... nooo.

No one is that illogical.

Its almost... Elfy.

And don't get me started on the farms. From what I can see, there's only two of them.

And the Kitchens! Or Kitchen, as it were.

In a Metropolis such as this, there should be at least three!

The military is almost the worst of it.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate their skills, but there are speardwarves and marksdwarves in the same unit!

Preposterous! Tragedy! Death and Damnation!

......................

What do you mean, what am I complaining  about?

.......................

Of course I could run this place better.

.........................

What do you mean, 'Put your money where your mouth is?'

........................

Hey! Those spears are pointy, stop poking me!

.........................

Alright, Alright, I'll run this place for a bit.

(Armok, these guys are whiny.)

OW!! STOP POKING ME!

Not gonna finish? That's a shame, I quite liked where this was going. I can understand if it's due to the horribly slow framerate though, I'm getting pretty tired of this version of DF myself.

Ah, yes, I thought something was amiss. Now I see. There's not enough terrible things in the lakes.

Not at all, I was just waiting for someone to post so that I did not commit the sin of double posting.

Journal of MOG

Alright, I've arranged the military in the correct order.

Swords with swords, spears with spears, crossbows together and so on.

Lets see, a quick peek at my notes.

On Granite, a kobold thief was found.

Yes, Atir Knifecrows, we know that you can't get hive materials for some reason.

Saint Created a Masterpiece. I'd find out what it is, but I'm somewhat lazy.

Kol Sakzullogem, if you don't stop complaining, I'm considering conscripting you into a death squad.

Mayor demands bloodrat leather items. But we don't have any. So he can go fight the goblins naked.

Ustuth Citybitten gave birth to a boy. Congrats, now get back to work.

Initiate arrives. So do the ELVES!

Broker takes breaks constantly!

On break all month!

Now Summer.

Kadol Attic riders created an artifact adamantine Anvil. Whoo.

Udil temptmountains gave birth to a girl.

Engar Caravan arrives.
Nothing we need.

Ambushed in Month of Galena

All goblins eliminated as problems. three captured, fourth bowman hits ranger with a lucky shot to the head, breaking the upper spine.

I'm placing Fortifications on the outside of the Fortress.

That's all for now.

Journal of MOGAlright, I've arranged the military in the correct order.

You had best not be factoring the Captain of the Guard's squad into that. The Diamond Seals are meticulously chosen individuals with a lot of history, especially Spishaban and Kumil Astodom.

On that note, the Oily Crested Fists are also supposed to be a squad of cannon fodder peasantry (with complete asshole swordsdwarf Unib Onuldomas in charge of it for training purposes). I don't see how it could possibly organized without uncannonfodderizing it.
