Chickens won't attack gobbos, unless you've modded them to be [PET_TRAINABLE] and trained them all into war chickens. Even war chickens won't do a lot of good against goblins, because chickens are super small and goblins wear lots of clothes.

Now, once cassowaries are in, that'll be different...

don't challange the CooCoo's!!!!

It's really funny watching them do unnecessary surgery because of a wrong diagnosis.
the conditions were bad enough to turn a dwarf who didn't care about anything mad, that's pretty hardcore.

They'll stop getting pregnant when the cap is reached, but existing pregnancies/clutches will still carry out. And since chickens can have clutches of like a dozen eggs at once...

Chicken < Goblin

But damage stacks, and with literally hundreds of chickens, goblins cannot kill that many, and sure enough get pecked to death.

[go to arena, pit a giant desert scorpion against a crap ton of chickens, prepare to be lulzed]

Look into the files for the cave floater (or cave blob) and find the tag that makes them explode. Put the same tags, along with the one for the gas, into the files for the chicken. THEN add the [TRAINABLE_WAR] tag to chickens. Remove their grazing tag, and assign them each a one-tile pasture outside your entrance. AND you have land-mines.

Not sure if this is gonna work, though...

Guys this was totally done, in a perverse way, by GirlinHat see: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=91093.0

Basically you take your chicken bomb, but instead of goblins, you subject a 1 year old dwarven child to it, in a tiny space enclosed for 12 years, and stocked with adequate food and booze, or just a nestbox and a well.

If the kid lives, upon turning 12 he can release himself upon the world, a scarred but masterful veteran of the chicken-pit.

Hey, I have around 300 caged kittens who have bitten off freaking elf heads. There's even a badass orange kitty with an eye-scar.
