I can't believe it. Absolutely none of you have figured it out yet, but

You're all on track for the BAD ending. The path branches pretty early; you need to get your relationship value up to 80% or higher with the Hammerer, which is hard since the game encourages criminality. If you do that soon enough, he'll tell you about the Slade Pick of Blood, which lets you mine through the sky and explore the Caverns In The Clouds. The quest hooks for the Good Ending are there, and it's all in all much more emotionally satisfying, plus it lets you do a New Game Plus.

Is this asuming you compleated the "Make Armok pay child support" quest you got from the Elf god?

Can someone help me out? I reached the Great Temple of Armok, and there's a dark gnome outside who offered to give me the incantation in exchange for all of my dwarven rum, since I knew you need dwarven rum as part of the offering (along with the rock salt scepter, the blood of a unicorn, and the skin of a forgotten beast, of course) you need to put on the altar of blood before you can use the incantation to open the halls of flensing, but he teleported away and now I don't have the correct incantation. I know you can examine the pillars of the temple to find possible incantations, but there are six pillars in the temple, and I don't know what happens if you use the wrong incantation. In my last save, I gave the gnome the dwarven rum and tried using sunshine instead, but that just ended up summoning the keeper of skins, and that didn't end well....is there any way you can keep your dwarven rum and get the incantation from the dark gnome?

The gnome is tricking you; he doesn't know the correct incantation. In fact, there *is* no correct incantation. The Halls of Flensing are actually opened merely by smashing the back wall of the temple; all incantations possible just summon a parade of progressively nastier gods and demons, from the Prober of the Duodenum (relatively harmless) to the Archon of Kittens (insta game-over, and I'm pretty sure he deletes your save files too).

The Halls of Flensing, though, are kind of a let-down. Much more worthwhile to take the trek to the Mountains of Technetium.

Then you just have to deal with the Mood.  That needs you to take a sip of something as night starts, while on the edge of a cavernous pit, then sleep, sneak, go through the door, examine every tile in view before finding a hidey-hole... etc.  but you'll remember having done all that before, by this point.

You can actually unlock those modes and endings again by becoming the Avatar Of The Blood God. Be warned though, this is a very difficult and time consuming process.
First you need to beat the game and get the Age of Emptiness, Apocalypse, Global Devastation and Saint of Devils endings in a row. You can't get any other endings without having to start all over again. You also need to have unlocked either the Good, WTF or Impossible ending at least once before.
Next you need to convince all dwarves, elves, humans, goblins, kobolds and Titanic Badgermen civilizations, as well as the dwelves, arves, koblins and gobolds civilizations of the alternate universe to become allies with each other. Be warned though, this means that no civilization can go extinct. Once you have accomplished this, force every civilization to go to war with you.
Next time you reach the Endless Wastelands the full army of every civ will be waiting for you. Cover the entire Endless Wastelands with their blood and kill them all. This will start the Age of Dread. If you haven't entered the Age of Dread, you have done something wrong and will need to start over again.
Complete the game as you normally would, but be sure not to kill every person in the world, because this will start the Age of Emptiness. After the ending scene the game will still continue instead of taking you back to the starting screen.
Make your way to the Great Temple of Armok. You may notice more sacrifices in the grand hall and more adorned spikes of slade and flesh on the altar. You will find the Inner Sanctum invested with Blood Golems and Flesh Golems. They aren't hostile and you should ignore them for now. Make your way to the True Altar and activate it. The Golems will become hostile now. Don't kill any of them, instead consume them all while still alive. You will now enter a cutscene where you become the Avatar Of The Blood God and everything will be unlocked again. Unfortunately you can't actually play as the Avatar. If you select this savefile in the future you will see a red pattern on a black screen with chanting in the background and the game will return to the menu.

Your vision becomes accustomed to the blood everywhere. In fact it becomes easier to see. I COULD SEE THINGS THAT WEREN'T IN THE GAME. I could have sworn I broke the fourth wall for a few seconds.
