Some questions for the crew:
-Ship name? How about "Mars Lander Prometheus"?
-Mission name? Uhh... "Mars Colony 1"?
-Favourite landing spot? Anywhere.
-A.I.? What about it? If you're asking for a character, maybe the standard "wants to be human" stereotype?

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I honestly swear I didn't see any correlation between my characters until now.

Added some backstory.

Also please don't kill each other, it'll take me at least 1.5 year to fly in your replacements. Also you might pollute Mars clean surface with your bodily fluids, therefore destroying countless possible discoveries.

Also, if you want somethig special onboard tell me what and why.
If you want something onboard for your secret agenda PM me.

Well, shouldn't the reactor onboard be a fusion one rather than a fission reactor?

Name:Borislav Anchova (Boris for short)
Nation(optional): Belarus
Traits(2positive,1 negative):
Positive: Born Miner(capable of using most mining machines & explosives), High Endurance (Capable of physically exerting himself for a while)
Negative: Surrounded by Collateral Damage(things get REAL BAD when he screws up)
Bio: A former deep-bore coal miner in Russia, Boris has been mining most of his life. After getting famous from wrecking a 2 billion euro digger in Eastern Germany in 2041 in a famous viral video, he used his newfound fame to help him get on board GSO missions. This is his fourth mission with the GSO.

Appearance: A pale, muscular man with short cropped blonde hair, he looks more like he should be in an action movie than in space. He has piercing green eyes, a large nose, and thin curly sideburns. His arms are bulging and veiny, and his legs look like he's an olympic powerlifter.
Role: Geologist (primary) ; Hydroponics Journeyman (secondary) (basically a damn farmer)

Ship name?  Prometheus
Mission name? Western Horizon Test Drill Site 4-B-ALPHA
Favourite landing spot? Anywhere there is something to mine.
A.I.? What about it? Remarkably inept. Basically useless for anything but stating the obvious and turning the lights on/off.

Fusion requires large amounts of hydrogen(deuterium + tritium). While these can be pressurized to store them, it is not that safe (risk of explosive decompression). An  thorium fission reactor was thought to be a better solution. Also fusion reactors require a lot of power to start( something not avaible on your spaceship) , so you wouldn't be able to restart your main power generator.

So... when's the first turn coming up? Should I RP meeting the rest of the party for the first time? At what point in the mission is the first turn going to be set? What does Marcellus Wallace look like?

EDIT:

Why is everyone changing their characters?

EDIT:

Is there going to be a plot? Because if there isn't, I may make one.

-When we got 7 players
-I can organise a prologue: ie the departure from earth
-As stated in the first post: one week before the arrival on Mars(from the point of view of the ship, mars look approwimately as big as the moon does now)
-No idea

EDIT:

Is there going to be a plot? Because if there isn't, I may make one.

There is a background, and some plothooks but no real plot as of yet.

Prologue

And so it begins, as the GSO Orbiter prepares to take of from Spaceport 5, located on an island in the middle of the pacific ocean. It's destination, the still unnamed Mars Colinization Vehicle, that will take humanity on it's first steps towards the stars. While the spaceplane waits for an opening to emerge in Earths debris layer, you find some time to talk to the others. Try to be nice to them, as you'll have to live with them for at least 2 years. There are five of you in the spaceplane while the AI and the robot have already been loaded into the ship. You can talk to them via radio.  One GSO specialist will join you later, as the canditates are currently being reviewed at the GSO HQ, Satellite 5.

P.N.: No doctor who plot, I just coulnd't come up with a good name(Name subject to change)

Edit: Apparently I can't count anymore.

(a few hours before...)

"See you in a couple years!" Schilcote said, waving to his build crew as he rolled backwards up the ramp into the cargo plane. A crewman guided him into a corner of the vessel and tied a few bungie cords around his chassis.

"I can do that myself you know. Or you can do it. Either way's fine."

The crewman rolled his eyes and retreated to the cockpit.

"Huh. Service with a smile," Schil thought to himself. "Really flying first class here..."

Schil pored over the dossier that had been uploaded into his memory bank a few hours previously.

"... Glockenspiel? That's a hell of a name. Woah, hell of a woman too. Better think of a line to use. 'Hey baby, wanna go for a ride on the mars rover'? I'll have to work on it. At least this body has sensitive manipulators. And the commander... not too shabby either. Hmm. Sounds like a real bitch though, better leave that one alone. Although you never know, she might have a soft spot somewhere. Okay, enough ogling... for now. Oh god, look at this engineer. I miss Sheila already. Maybe I'll just do all my fixing myself. Oh hey, Boris Anchovy is on this mission. Well I feel safer already. Well, at least there's women on board. And no competition either, come to think of it. Maybe this isn't so bad... Oh. There's two more I don't have any data on. Well. If nothing else, I get to look."
