Quote from: Threetoe
In the pitch black of night the giant worms slithered through the
town, gobbling up all who ventured out after dark.  Thus it had been
for a generation, ever since the stranger came to Rostfen.  Losmo was
his name.  He wasn’t much to look at, skinny, like most of the
worthless drifters that came around there.  He had a strange way
around the women.  No one liked him very much.  Yet it was he who
would change the town forever.

“Don’t stay out after dark,” said the shopkeeper, “the bogeyman will get you.”

“What?” said Losmo.  “I’ll do what I please.”

Chewing on dried plump helmet, Losmo pondered his next move.  He needed work.

“You need any of that cloth brought to market?” asked Losmo.

“Yes,” said the shopkeeper, “but the sun is almost down.”

“I’ll get it there by morning,” said Losmo, “and I’ll only take half
of what your regular carrier would.”

The deal settled, the cloth was loaded onto a mule and Losmo was off,
lantern in hand.  The woods outside town were chill and foggy.  Night
birds hooted and called.  Losmo whistled a merry tune.  The smile fell
from his lips when a face appeared in the light before him.

“Losmo,” said the creature, “you know better than to walk the roads at night.”

Losmo threw back his cloak and drew a silver short sword.

“Impressive,” said the monster, “for a squire’s toy.  Now drop the
blade.  You know what happened last time.”

Sword in one hand, lantern in the other, Losmo lunged at his foe.  Two
more bogeymen appeared from either side.  They were about the size of
small dogs, black, and wore a mishmash of animal parts.  The night was
filled with an incessant cackling as the bogeymen fought.  One after
another, Losmo brought them down, each disappearing into a puff of
black smoke.  The laughter died away, but Losmo knew that the night
was still watching.

Throughout the land, peoples of all kinds marveled at the bravery of
Adsome and his jolly troopers.  Again and again they were called upon
to save the world.  They had put down dragons, giants, and wicked
kings.  It seemed that no evil could escape destruction.  That was
until Adsome met a woman.

“Come Asdome,” said Galan, Asdome’s mighty sergeant, “the boys and I
are going to drink a few tankards at the mead hall.”

“I would, my friend,” said Asdome, “but tonight is the night I promise
to sit with Griselda by the fire.”

The mighty warrior turned and left the keep.  Asdome turned back and
tried to focus on the map and the tiny rocks representing his forces
and those of the evil dwarf wizard Bacura.  He could not concentrate.
He really wanted to go drinking with the fellas, but it didn’t seem
like he really had time anymore, what with planning the invasion and
making time for his woman.  Something would have to give.

Deep in Evil Mountain, metal clanged on metal sending sparks that
illuminated the articulated arms and legs that hung on the walls.
Bacura brought the hammer down one last time and stopped to admire his
creation.  It was the metal skull of a man, one more soldier in his
mechanical army.  Bacura laughed, for this was not his greatest
achievement, not like when he secretly invented a girl to lay with the
hero Adsome.

The adventurers made their way into the hive. Long had the bee women tormented the people of Bodarga. Bram would put an end to this nonsense. The adventurers entered the huge structure through a large hexagonal door. The tunnel turned and twisted at strange angles. Everywhere was the ever-present buzzing of the enemy. Suddenly a bee woman appeared, wielding a stinger spear. Bram let out a warrior cry and charged at her, brandishing a sword. Suddenly his feet sank into the floor. A honey trap!

A two-parter!

@@@@||g??????????????

A fierce dry wind blew up from the valley.  Wandros and his dwarves
lay behind cacti and sharpened their knives.  After a time the goblin
came.  The dwarves were dead quiet as it passed them by, oblivious.
As the creature moved toward the rocks, Wandros stood and beckoned his
 dwarves to follow.

The Valley of Gold was a real place.  Wandros knew it was, and the
goblin would show him where it was.  Right, then left, then right
again the goblin made its way around the canyon walls.  There at last
was the door.  The goblin bent and walked inside, closing the door
after him.  Wandros took the doorknob in his hand.

“What’s the password?” said a voice from inside.

Quote
$$$$$$@$$$$$g

 “Valley of Gold?” said Wandros.

A block of wood slid away, revealing a pair of deep red eyes.

“Wandros,” said the goblin.  “We have been watching you.  You have the
makings of a true brigand.  The rest of your dwarves however, well…”

Goblins rose up from all over the valley.  The dwarves screamed out in
pain and rage as hundreds of barbed arrows fell all around them.
Wandros went to help them, but the goblin caught him around the
shoulders.  “Don’t die for them,” said the villain.  Wandros stood by
as the goblins finished off the last of the dwarves with their
 daggers.

“My name is Nuklat,” said the goblin.  “I have something to show you.”

Nuklat took Wandros by the hand and guided him through the door.  The
entire valley glittered with gold and jewels, all stolen.  Wandros
recognized many works of art thought lost for centuries.  All locked
away in this valley, greedily stored like the hoard of a dragon.

“A raiding party leaves for the dwarf fortress tonight,” said Nuklat.
“Lead the way in, and part of this is yours.”

,.,.T\@,.M,..

The woods were full of all sorts of evil things.  Still, the dwarves
needed lumber for their many industries.  Young Ubal was the chosen
one.  Axe in hand, he led his mule down the winding slope and into the
haunted forest.  High in the trees the birds sang wicked songs,
staring down with glowing yellow eyes.  Somewhere in the distance, a
coyote called out.  At least Ubal thought it was a coyote.  It could
be anything in this place.  At last he found a tree and lifted his
axe.

Blood.  That was what Ubal expected to find when his blade dug in, but
it was only yellow wood, something you would expect to find if you
weren’t in the forest from hell.  He chopped the wood quickly, as
light was fading.  The mule began to whimper.

“Quiet, Mot,” scolded Ubal.  “We will be out of here before the sun sets.”

I donated once, but there seemed to be no way to let him know who sent the money. I'm doing a physical letter next time, and making a very specific crayon art request.

I know there's a way to let him know via Paypal.

That said, I prefer to send him a physical letter + check because 1) Paypal doesn't take a piece of that check for the transaction, and 2) I feel like an actual letter is a bit more personal and respectful. Mostly 1, though.

THAT SAID, I've got no idea what the thread title indicates. I assume it's a text reward specific thing, since the various crayon doodles I've gotten don't seem to have witchcraft voodoo serial numbers.
