Fortress Mode or Adventure?

Folks, if you have to choose one, which game mode would you prefer between the two? And why?
And if you still can't decide, what feature do you like most about those modes?

I personally enjoy Adventure Mode mainly for the world exploration and being in control of an individual character. The game has an epic RPG-ish feel to it which makes it one of a kind.

Fortress. Adventure mode might catch up to it some day, but right now I personally think it doesn't play very well.
