I will be basing this forum game/text suggestion adventure on NetHack and its Dungeons of Doom. The weapon and spell damages will be decided on the rolling of actual dice, and the rolls of certain dice (like 2d8 or 5d20) will be decided on the skill of the weapon you are using or the type of weapon. If you raise skill in a particular weapon, you gain an extra roll of a d8 on damage and d6 on whether or not you hit your target.

EDIT: Changed starting weapons. You are a Warrior.
