Suddenly screws make more sense as trap components
« on: April 16, 2008, 07:06:00 pm »

I don't know what the policy is on this kind of stuff, but this video on youtube gave me one of those "A-ha!" moments.  Nothing gorey, although kinda scary in a very cool way.

ZIL-2906 -  In soviet Russia, the screw drives you!

Now they make more sense as trap components, no?

How could you not see screws as trap components? Can you not imagine the suffering of the enemy having a drill first pierce it through, then slowly twist itself inside the body? I would imagine they work wonders as impaling weapons.

Penetrate through the rectum of the enemy, splitting the hapless fool from the bottom up, then twist and twist, slicing the internal organs and guaranteeing a slow, painful death.

All the while, the poor sap will be screaming out to his comrades. "Save me!" he will cry, while the others are shocked from the horror, blood splatter, feces, urine, and chunks of meat decorate their faces.

Then the whole scene will end with 9 other screws punching out from all directions, but just far enough to only penetrate the first few centimeters of flesh. Like hooks, they will pull back, and rip the skin from flesh, leaving the victim a bloody, skinless mess, and spray the hallway with blood. Screaming, howling, crying, anguish anguish anguish anguish pain pain and then... death.

That vehicle is just plain wacky.  I love how it seems to skate over snow.

I've seen similar vehicles, also reminds me of how the earliest boat propellers were screws.
