Spoiler: Rad-aghast (click to show/hide)
I'm going to mention that I only had a blunt pencil of indeterminate hardness and no sharpener, so have mercy.
To me, it looks like a floating island with something that's erupting on it. The ground is splitting apart. The river on the island is rapidly boiling off as a result of the eruption. The island itself is tipping to the side.

Nice wizard, also image is turned upside down, so before you guess to rotate your head it looks like mysterious ghost chicken of vengeance.
Wait, my chicken looks like a wizard?  :o

Haha, the biggest issue here has nothing to do with the pencil! No soup mercy for you! His forehead kinda slopes straight back from the brow, or at least that's the impression the hat gives, which makes him look a bit odd.
Ah, drat. It's meant to be shade-y not slope-y :P

Yea, I'm just rolling with everyone else saying it's a wizard. You and I know the truth  ;)

Thanks, Cathar! That means a lot coming from you.

Even if you are French.

As an aside, I only have the aforementioned blunt pencil and I want to draw, but I'm not particularly fond of the aforementioned blunt pencil...

A dungeon flythrough, broken into gifs. A word of warning, my teacher gave me trouble because he found my camera movements made him nauseous.

If the gifs don't work, here's imgur's gifvs
https://i.imgur.com/oIzWRl8.mp4
https://i.imgur.com/4bQPSBX.mp4
https://i.imgur.com/1g0Bmf7.mp4
- Your camera movements need momentum, when you want to point the camera at something ease towards the target, speed up, then slow back down as you reach the target, it feels more natural because that's what happens when a real person turns to look at something. Movements with no momentum feel robotic, the same principles of movement that are used in animation will apply here too.
- People aren't used to their body moving 3-dimensionally (changing x, y, and z position) WHILE also turning their eyes and head to look at something. If you're moving the camera body a lot try to keep its view steady on one target, and if you're changing your target try to keep the camera body's movement as simple as possible (move in a straight line or a constant curve while tracking the target).
- Usually people look where they're going, a couple times you have the camera pointing straight down at the ground while it's moving towards a destination on the x-y plane. This really confuses the camera's intent and makes for some jarring moments at the end of gif 1 and the start of gif 2.

More progress on Smegma, minus effects and such. I actually have finished something, but I dunno if I'd get in trouble for a girl in a bee costume.

Alright, it's about time I put something here.

I drew two things today. The first was a carefully rendered study of the interplay of light and shadow across a dwarven face. Every pixel I placed with utmost care, working and reworking until at last I was satisfied.

The other thing I drew today was... uh.

Hot damn, loving the line work here! Also, if in doubt, make it a URL and prefix it with "potentially mildly NSFW maybe iunno". But i mean, there's literally a 99% naked girl right below your post, i think you'll be fine. :P

Yasssssss, you can do it man! Also holy shit that prince has a barrel chest of epic proportions, he could probably wear every single medal in the kingdom on it. :V (to clarify, this is not meant as a critique of anatomy, but rather a statement that the man is buff as hell)

-------

... That ended up longer than i initially thought, but i felt bad cheating any of you out of a facetious comment. :V

also more pencilling

Spoiler: *grumpy shaman noises* (click to show/hide)

I feel like i kinda oscillate between preferring pencil or digital. Pencil has better line control and is easily portable, but smudges under my bony meatloaf hands, takes longer to colour/shade and needs vigorous sharpening, while digital has worse line control and portability, but none of the other issues. I s'pose there's nothing wrong with keeping up both.

Alright, productive week this week.

Katja doing a maintenance check in an old tunnel under her Leyline Station. Was mostly a lighting thing, and is intended for an idea of her non-combat stuff (no ballistic vest, no mags.)

And finally, Smegma! I'm super proud of how this one came out

EDIT: For interested parties, i guess there's no harm in putting my dA account here.

I tripped into him one day after listening to a bunch of Simon Swerwer songs. Was not disappointed. Dude actually got me back into my endless tangents of story forts.
